Hair Transplant Talk: FUE vs. FUT Hair Transplant Talk: FUE vs. FUT
In today's medical field, hair transplant doctors are now capable of applying different kinds of techniques to extract and transplant huge chunks of hair follicles. However, when it comes down to it, there are primarily two kinds of techniques for hair transplantation that surgeons often use:

Differences and similarities of FUE and FUT procedures

In most cases, FUE and FUT procedures differ mainly when it comes to the manner in which hair follicles are extracted from the donor site. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) When it comes to an FUE hair transplantation procedure, every follicular unit is individually extracted from the scalp without any strip of tissue being removed. The hair follicles are also removed in a random manner resulting in a lesser density in the donor area that most patients often say is barely noticeable. This is the primary difference between FUE and FUT. Due to the fact that follicles are removed one at a time, the number of them harvested tends to be much lower, thereby making a FUE a preferred option when it comes to restoring smaller cases of men's hair loss unlike FUT. However, FUE is constantly being advanced and it will soon be applied for larger cases unlike before. Also, there are those who prefer the FUE method since it provides the option of splitting the procedure over two days so as to achieve their preferred recommended transplantation objectives. In terms of pain management and scarring, there is usually very little or none at all when it comes to an FUE procedure since no stitches are required and no linear scars are left behind. Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) An FUT procedure involves the removal of a small strip of tissue from the rear of one's head, where the follicles are extracted. The harvesting process is done by a skilled medical team before the follicles are individually transplanted to the recipient sections. Typically, and especially in cases where there is advanced hair loss, FUT is the method of choice since it allows the surgeon to adequately utilize the scalp area so as to deliver results that are consistent with the patient's expectations. Also, FUT usually allows for the largest amount of grafts to be transplanted in a single session. When it comes to cost, an FUE procedure tends to be more expensive since the task of removing each follicle done on an individual basis which can be rather time consuming. Therefore, some patients often prefer to go with the FUT procedure as opposed to the FUE. When it comes to bald treatment, men's hair loss, and restoring receding hair lines, the two procedures mentioned above both have their pros and cons. Therefore, determining which one is best suited for you will depend on your particular case and the surgeons diagnosis.
